Tomato "New Königsberg Orange".
Siberian Gold: sweet, drought-resistant, and resistant to blossom end rot!
An improved variety from the famous "Königsberg" series. This is a high-yielding, early-ripening indeterminate variety that thrives both in greenhouses and outdoors.
Fruit characteristics:
The fruits are beautiful, elongated pepper-shaped, smooth, and dense. Colour — rich orange (high in carotene!).
Impressive fruit weight: up to 240 g.
The flesh is meaty, sweet, very juicy, and aromatic.
Variety value:
1. Genetic resistance to blossom end rot (a common problem for many elongated tomatoes).
2. Resistance to cracking and drought.
3. Versatility: excellent fresh in salads, as well as for winter preserves (pickling, sun-drying).
Agrotechnics:
Sow seeds for seedlings in March – early April (depth 1 cm). Prick out at the phase of 1-2 true leaves. Harden off seedlings 7-10 days before planting.
Planting out: greenhouses in April-May, open ground in June (after frost danger passes).
Planting scheme: 30x50 cm (requires staking and pruning). The variety responds well to regular watering and fertilizing.
